Before the internet became one of the leading (and addicting) sources for real time news and information magazines and journals were where one would turn to see up to date news, pictures and information. Many people still prefer holding a magazine and today there are some exceptional periodicals published which are focused on adaptive sport and recreation for individuals with both physical and intellectual disabilities. What follows’ is my efforts to discover some of these periodicals
Adaptive Sport and Recreation focused:
- Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly
- PALAESTRA
- Spirit Magazine
- Sports ‘N Spokes
- Challenge Magazine
Disability focused with adaptive sport and recreation articles:
- PN: Paraplegia News
- Autism Asperger’s Digest Magazine
- Ability Magazine
- Able Magazine
(Note: If I missed any periodical, which should have made the list please comment on this blog, and I will include it in an update.)
